What is the solution
Sandvik Mining and Rock Technology is a leading supplier of equipment, tools, service and technical solutions for the mining and rock excavation industries. With customers demanding ever greater productivity to ensure profitability, we are providing the cutting-edge solutions needed to succeed. Our equipment and services help our customers in every corner of the world to mine and excavate rock safer and more productively.
In this case, we are focusing on Sandvik Test Mine, but considerations should be made for the solution to be usable across other mines in the future..
In Sandvik Test Mine personnel and guests are trained on a daily basis to ensure safe and effective operations and visits to the mines.
Most of the training happens on-site, with ambitions to have parts of the training done remotely. Training, qualifications and certifications need to be trackable, with the possibility to suggest next steps.
Experienced personnel have to retake their security training annually. This should be done in a more exciting and purposeful way and taken into consideration while planning the new platform.
